Leadership Development Program by LEAP - Bridging the Gap

KALCA in collaboration with yKAN and YESYAS! (young professional organizations in NYC) and the Korea Society invites you to a series of workshops and seminars on leadership development tailored for Asian Americans. Qualified team of trainers from Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics (LEAP) will facilitate the programs.

BRIDGING THE GAP: Understanding Asian Pacific Americans

Program Description: This workshop is a comprehensive primer on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders -- Who are we, what is our history in the United States, what are the issues facing our communities, how are we perceived and misperceived by others, how does our culture influence behavior. Using a multifaceted approach that examines history, demographics, diversity, community issues, stereotypes and culture, LEAP trainers get to the heart of what it means to be "Asian American or Pacific Islander."
