Henry Kang, Gala Co-Chair

Mr. Henry Kang is the Chairman of the Board of Sunny Marketing Systems Inc., a company that markets and distributes health and beauty products manufactured with green technology. He and his wife Sunny co-founded Sunny Marketing Systems over 35 years ago and created the popular "Earth Therapeutics" brand in 1994. Distributed to retailers such as Bed, Bath & Beyond, Kohls, JC Penny, and Whole Foods, Earth Therapeutics products include lotions, skin creams, and cleansing products that are natural and eco friendly. For his entrepreneurial skills and success, Mr. Kang was awarded the "Ernest & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award" in 2002.

Mr. Kang also has been an active community leader for decades. He is a Founder and a Board Member of the Korean American Helping Hands, an organization that assists leukemia patients. In 2008, he and several prominent Korean American and Korean community leaders established The Global Society of Korea and America (GSKA) to create a network of international Korean leaders to empower the Korean American community and to advance Korea’s standing in the world.

Mr. Kang graduated from Korea University in 1964 and received an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Centenary College in 2009. He resides in Sands Point New York with his life long partner Sunny, and they have three grown children and four grandchildren.
